Elijah Wood is an American actor and producer best known for his portrayal of Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. He began his career as a child actor, making his film debut with a minor part in Back to the Future Part II in 1989. He gained critical acclaim for his roles in films such as Avalon, Radio Flyer, and The Good Son during the early 1990s. His breakthrough into international stardom came with the release of The Fellowship of the Ring in 2001.
