Grant Gustin is an American actor and singer best known for his portrayal of Barry Allen in the television series The Flash. He began his professional acting career in the Broadway revival tour of West Side Story. Gustin gained early television recognition for his recurring role as Sebastian Smythe on the musical series Glee. He made his feature film debut in the 2014 movie Affluenza. His breakout role came in 2013 when he was cast as Barry Allen in the second season of Arrow. This role led to his own spin-off series, The Flash, which premiered on The CW in 2014 and ran for nine seasons. Throughout his time on The Flash, he appeared in multiple crossover events within the Arrowverse franchise. Beyond television, he has appeared in films such as Krystal and Rescued by Ruby. Gustin has received numerous accolades, including multiple Teen Choice Awards and Saturn Awards for his performance as the Scarlet Speedster. He married Andrea Thoma in 2018, and the couple has one child together. Following the conclusion of The Flash in 2023, he returned to the stage to star as Seymour Krelborn in the Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors.
