Jensen Ackles is an American actor, director, and singer best known for his long-running role as Dean Winchester in the CW dark fantasy series Supernatural. He began his career in the late 1990s with roles in daytime television, most notably as Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives, which earned him three Daytime Emmy Award nominations. Following his departure from the soap opera, he appeared in series such as Dark Angel, Dawson's Creek, and Smallville. In 2005, he was cast in Supernatural, a show that ran for 15 seasons and became a cultural phenomenon. Beyond his acting work, Ackles has directed several episodes of Supernatural and other television projects. He is also a musician and co-founded the rock band Radio Company alongside musician Steve Carlson. In 2022, he joined the cast of the hit Amazon Prime series The Boys, portraying the character Soldier Boy. He has also provided voice acting for various animated DC Universe films, including the role of Batman in Batman: The Long Halloween.
