Klay Alexander Thompson is a professional basketball player who plays for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. He spent the first 13 seasons of his career with the Golden State Warriors, where he established himself as one of the greatest shooters in league history. Thompson is a four-time NBA champion, winning titles in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022. He is a five-time NBA All-Star and a two-time All-NBA Team selection. Known for his 'Splash Brothers' partnership with Stephen Curry, he helped revolutionize the game with his elite three-point shooting. In 2016, he set the NBA record for most points scored in a single quarter with 37. He also holds the record for the most three-pointers made in a single playoff game. Thompson played college basketball for the Washington State Cougars before being drafted 11th overall in the 2011 NBA draft. Despite suffering major injuries, including an ACL tear and an Achilles tendon rupture, he successfully returned to help the Warriors win another championship. He is the son of former NBA player Mychal Thompson. Off the court, he is well-known for his calm demeanor and his beloved English bulldog, Rocco.
