Milana Vayntrub is an Uzbek-born American actress, comedian, and activist. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Lily Adams in a series of AT&T television commercials starting in 2013. Vayntrub moved to the United States as a child refugee with her family to escape religious persecution. She began her acting career at a young age, appearing in various television commercials and minor roles. She is a co-founder of the website Live Prude Girls, where she produced and starred in several comedy sketches. Her television credits include roles in series such as Silicon Valley, This Is Us, and Other Space. In 2016, she directed the short film Mother's Little Helpers. Vayntrub is also known for her voice work, including providing the voice for Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise. She is a dedicated activist, having co-founded the #CantDoNothing campaign to support the European refugee crisis. She has frequently used her platform to advocate for social justice and humanitarian causes. Vayntrub studied communications at the University of California, San Diego. She continues to work as both an on-screen performer and a creative force behind the camera in Hollywood.
