Park Ji-hyo, known mononymously as Jihyo, is a South Korean singer and the leader of the girl group Twice. She joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee in 2005 after winning second place in a child contest. Jihyo spent ten years as a trainee, which is one of the longest training periods in the company's history. In 2015, she competed in the reality survival show Sixteen, where she was selected as a member of the debut lineup for Twice. She officially debuted with the group in October 2015 with the EP The Story Begins.
