Thomas Middleditch is a Canadian actor and comedian best known for his starring role as Richard Hendricks in the HBO comedy series Silicon Valley. He began his career in the improv scene in Chicago, performing with The Second City and iO Theater. He gained early recognition for his work in various television commercials and small film roles. His breakout performance in Silicon Valley earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Beyond his television work, he has provided voice acting for numerous animated projects, including Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie and Solar Opposites. Middleditch is also well-known for his improvisational skills, frequently performing with the comedy troupe The Improvised Shakespeare Company.
