Wladimir Klitschko is a Ukrainian former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2017. He held the world heavyweight championship twice during his illustrious career. Klitschko is widely considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. He successfully defended his titles 18 consecutive times, a record for the division. Known for his exceptional jab and technical prowess, he earned the nickname 'Dr. Steelhammer'. He won a gold medal in the super-heavyweight division at the 1996 Summer Olympics. His older brother, Vitali Klitschko, is also a former world heavyweight champion and the current mayor of Kyiv. Throughout his career, he defeated numerous top-ranked contenders and unified multiple world titles. He retired from the sport following a highly competitive bout against Anthony Joshua in 2017. Outside of the ring, he has been involved in various philanthropic efforts and business ventures.
