Kevin Wayne Durant is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. He played one season of college basketball for the University of Texas before being selected as the second overall pick by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2007 NBA draft. Durant spent nine seasons with the franchise, which relocated to become the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2008. He won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award in 2014 and led the league in scoring four times. In 2016, he signed with the Golden State Warriors, winning back-to-back NBA championships in 2017 and 2018. During both of those championship runs, he was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. After a stint with the Brooklyn Nets, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns in 2023. Durant is a 14-time NBA All-Star and has been selected to the All-NBA Team 11 times. He is also a highly decorated international player, having won four Olympic gold medals with the United States national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest scorers in basketball history, he is known for his unique combination of height, length, and shooting ability.
