Larry Page is an American computer scientist and internet entrepreneur who co-founded Google. He met Sergey Brin while both were pursuing their PhDs at Stanford University. Together, they developed the PageRank algorithm, which became the foundation for the Google search engine. Page served as the first CEO of Google until 2001 and returned to the role from 2011 to 2015. Under his leadership, Google expanded into various technologies including Android and YouTube. He later became the CEO of Alphabet Inc., the parent company created during a corporate restructuring in 2015. Page stepped down from his executive roles at Alphabet in 2019 but remains a board member and controlling shareholder.
