Simu Liu is a Canadian actor, writer, and stuntman best known for his role as Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Born in Harbin, China, he immigrated to Canada with his parents at the age of five and was raised in Mississauga, Ontario. Before his breakout acting career, he worked as an accountant at Deloitte but was laid off, which prompted him to pursue acting.
