T-Pain is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer who rose to prominence in the mid-2000s. He is widely credited for popularizing the creative use of Auto-Tune in hip hop and R&B music. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, he began his musical career as a member of the rap group Nappy Headz. In 2005, he released his debut studio album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, which featured the hit singles I'm Sprung and I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper). He founded the record label Nappy Boy Entertainment in 2005. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous high-profile artists including Kanye West, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne.
