Taylor Daniel Lautner is an American actor best known for playing Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga film series. He began his acting career in the early 2000s with roles in television series such as The Bernie Mac Show and My Wife and Kids. He gained wider recognition for his voice work in What's New, Scooby-Doo? and his role in the film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. His breakout role came in 2008 when he was cast as Jacob Black in Twilight, a role he reprised in all subsequent sequels. To maintain his role in the franchise, Lautner underwent extensive physical training to gain significant muscle mass. Beyond the Twilight series, he has appeared in films such as Valentine's Day, Abduction, and Tracers. He also starred in the television series Cuckoo and the horror-comedy series Scream Queens. In 2022, he starred in the Netflix sports comedy film Home Team.
