Yoo Jeong-yeon, known mononymously as Jeongyeon, is a South Korean singer and a member of the girl group Twice. She was born on November 1, 1996, in Suwon, South Korea. Jeongyeon joined JYP Entertainment in 2010 after passing an open audition. She gained widespread recognition in 2015 as a contestant on the survival reality show Sixteen, where she secured her spot in the final lineup of Twice.
